11-83 Marine Band Search and Rescue Communicator

Brand: Salcom
Product Code: Marine Band SAR Communicator

Code: 11-83-0000

This transceiver has been developed in response to a market demand for a low cost, simple to use, fully immersible emergency radio on the Marine FM band. It provides a means of communication from ships or aircraft to personnel in a distress situation where they can not be reached and no alternative communication method exists.

The 11-83 is ruggedly constructed, is fully sealed and can safely withstand water immersion, making it ideal for use in marine distress situations. The single channel version of the radio can be pre-programmed to operate on any of the internationally recognised marine channels.

Each unit is supplied with a tough hard fronted pouch so that they can be stored safely without the likelihood of accidental activation. To reduce the possibility of loss, a lanyard can be fitted to one of the loops on the pouch or to the loop on the case in order to secure the unit.
